Scenes from the DNC
In this video, I thought the chant early on was quite revealing:
“Love peace justice!”
“Kill Michelle Malkin!”
“Love peace justice!”
“Kill Michelle Malkin!”
“Love peace justice!”
Such lovely people.

I’m unacquainted with anyone involved in this particular video and don’t know why one man was screaming at a woman. However, in fairness to the Democrats:
this was not at the convention itself but a some sort of protest outside the mint.
there were very few people yelling “kill Michelle Malkin” (possibly as few as 1 or 2) and it appeared that someone was attempting (at least a little) to discourage that chant.
it’s not clear from the video what relationship these people had to each other or to the Democratic party.
the kid in the funny hat and sun glasses shouted all kinds of things that the crowd didn’t take up.
the chubby man who was screaming something about FEMA camps, torture, and traitors didn’t come across well, in my opinion.

The fat male in question (I don’t consider him a man) is apparently a radio show host. Sometimes I regret not watching television or listening to the radio, as I can’t credibly threaten to boycott a show that I would never watch or listen to anyway.
I don’t think those creatures had anything to do with the Democratic Party, actually. I just thought they were such lovely people, screaming death threats at someone a quarter their size.
The people trying to discourage the death threats were bloggers from PajamasMedia.

I have on occasion threatened a storekeeper that I would NOT buy item x unless (s)he stocked it. So I find the threat to boycott a radio show that you would never listene to entirely credible. After all, there’s no chance you’ll relent and actually listen.

Good point. Kind of like saving gas by not driving the Hummer that I don’t have.
Did you actually listen to the video? I endured most of it. My favorite part, besides the chant, was when the fat male bellowed that there are CHILDREN! IN FEMA CAMPS! IN IRAQ!
Um, yeah. FEMA doesn’t operate outside the U.S., but, whatever, dude.
The police refused to intervene despite the danger, and they have since stated that they were wrong to refuse and invited Malkin to file charges and make an internal affairs complaint.

I did watch/listen to the whole thing. I heard a great many things (like the quote you reference) that I had to attibute to the acoustics, because nobody would actually say anything like that….

The fat male is reported to be a troofer who contends that the U.S. Government came up with some huge and complicated plot to make it look like islamic terrorists used planes as weapons to attack the Towers, even though it would be a lot easier and less likely to be found out, if they just planted car bombs in the parking garage underneath and then claimed terrorists did it.
So I don’t think idiotic statements on his part are unlikely, really.
